PROPERTIES - Dorflex

Orphenadrine citrate is an anticholinergic drug, centrally acting anti-histamine with weak, useful in relieving pain associated with muscle contractures traumatic or inflammatory. The orphenadrine does not act directly on muscle contraction. Its mechanism of action is not fully understood, but appears to be due to their analgesic properties. Its analgesic action is enhanced by dipyrone and caffeine in the formula Dorflex.

Contradictions - Dorflex

1. Contradicted during pregnancy and lactation.

2. Intolerance to any component of the formula.

3. Due to the weak anticholinergic effect of orphenadrine should not be used in patients with glaucoma, pyloric or duodenal obstruction, achalasia of the esophagus, stenosing peptic ulcer, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction or myasthenia gravis.
